Varanasi, 25 July (HS). Mayor Ashok Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma inspected the transport workshop of the Municipal Corporation on Thursday. The Mayor asked to make a list of broken vehicles to put them to use, repair the broken golf cards and get them fixed by coordinating with the company.
During the inspection, he expressed displeasure over the haphazard parking of vehicles and asked for marking and numbering of different places to indicate which vehicle should be parked where.
Seeing the absence of workshop clerks Vaibhav Mishra and Saurabh Sanyal, the Municipal Commissioner asked about them. The employees told that Saurabh Sanyal is on leave due to a casualty at his home. Clerk Vaibhav Mishra is on leave for the treatment of his son. During the inspection of the Municipal Corporation's health department, a large number of pedal trolleys and hand carts were found to be in bad condition.
Store keeper Dilip Yadav said that the cleanliness and food inspector of the ward sends the damaged pedal trolley and hand cart here for repair. It is not written which parts are missing. Its inden slip is sent. The Municipal Commissioner said that the damaged cart should be taken only after ensuring why and from which zone it has been taken. Mayor Ashok Tiwari and Municipal Commissioner also inspected Shahid Udyan and Herbal Park situated at Sigra. During this, emphasis was laid on making pathways at the back side of the herbal park, pruning of plants from time to time, maintaining excellent cleanliness in the park and making tree guards of six feet height for planting new trees in the herbal park. The Mayor asked for a six-inch name plate in the middle of the tree guard and welding around it.
