Giving information on the social media platform X of the Eastern Command of the Indian Army, it was said that on May 14, a unit of Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps launched the campaign in New Tantal village of Khengji Tehsil. The region is near the Indo-Myanmar International Border, which has often been the center of extremist activities.
