Itanagar, June 04 (HS). BJP has once again made the lotus bloom by winning both the Lok Sabha seats of Arunachal Pradesh. Assembly elections were also held in Arunachal along with the Lok Sabha elections. In the counting done two days ago, BJP was successful in saving the power of the state. After seeing the results of the assembly elections, BJP's victory on both the Lok Sabha seats was considered certain.
BJP candidate and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju from Arunachal West has won a landslide victory by getting 205417 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Nabam Tuki by a margin of 100738 votes. Nabam Tuki got a total of 104679 votes, independent candidate Teji Rana got 33314 votes, Gana Suraksha Party candidate Toko Shital got 30530 votes, independent candidate Bimpak Siga got 11518 votes, independent candidate Ruhi Tagung got 7821 votes, independent candidate Leki Norbu got 2271 votes, independent candidate Tania June got 1958 votes. A total of 2296 votes were cast on NOTA.
BJP candidate Tapir Gao has won from Arunachal East seat by getting 145581 votes. Tapir Gao has defeated his nearest rival Bosiram Siran of Congress Party by a margin of 30421 votes. Bosiram Siram got a total of 115160 votes, Independent candidate Tamat Gamoh got 27603 votes, Independent candidate Sotai Kri got 14213 votes, Independent candidate Omak Nitik got 9369 votes, Arunachal Democratic Party candidate Bande Mili got 6622 votes. A total of 4895 votes were cast on NOTA.
