Bihar, August 3 (HS). The heavy rain that happened for a short while on Saturday morning turned the smart city into a hell city. The Municipal Corporation's campaign of cleaning the drains before the rains was exposed. Even the Superintendent of Police's residence complex has got waterlogged due to this rain. The Municipal Corporation claims that the drains of the city are cleaned in the best manner, but the reality is completely different from this.
Drain water keeps flowing on many roads of the smart city. A short period of rain caused waterlogging in these areas, due to which water entered many shops. Water always remains accumulated at many places on the roads going from Nai Sarai to Kalyanpur via the railway station. Due to today's rain, these roads got completely submerged and many shops got flooded. Due to rain, traffic was disrupted due to a huge tree falling on this route.
The same situation was seen at Amber Chowk. The entire crossing was filled with water. The situation had become so bad that it was difficult for vehicles to pass through this side, let alone pedestrians. Overall, the entire city is in the same condition. After the rain, thick layers of mud have accumulated on many main roads of the city, making it difficult to walk on them.
In the name of city development, various types of taxes have been increased by the Municipal Corporation, but facilities are missing. The citizens vent their anger by cursing the Municipal Corporation. The dream of Bihar Sharif becoming a smart city now seems to be breaking down. People's hopes are turning into dust. Questions are being raised on the working style of the Municipal Corporation and the citizens are now demanding change. Mayor and Deputy Mayor forgot their promise as soon as they won the election, powers of Bihar Sharif Municipal Corporation, Mayor and Chief Councilor curtailed, Har Jal Nal Ka Jal Yojana proved to be a flop in Bihar
