Hamirpur, 29 August (HS). The team of the Labor Department today raided the business establishments of Sumerpur and Maudha towns and freed the child laborers and served notices to the shopkeepers. This action of the Labor Department created a stir in the market.
On Thursday, the team of the Labor Department raided Sumerpur town and rescued four child labourers from six business establishments and served notices to the shopkeepers. Similarly, in Maudha, notices were served to the shopkeepers after four child labourers were found working in business establishments. The Labor Officer said that eight child labourers were found working in business establishments in Sumerpur and Maudha. On this, notices were served to the shopkeepers. This action of the Labor Department caused panic among the shopkeepers. Many shopkeepers closed the shutters of their shops and went away. The team included Labor Officer Asad Khan, Child Protection Officer Gopal Mishra, Child Helpline District Coordinator Safwan Ahmed, Abhiraj, Suraj Bhan, Jagveer Singh, etc.
