Kremlin's reaction to Modi's Moscow visit – News India Live

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two-day visit to Russia. He has reached Russia on 8/9. In such a situation, Russia sees this visit as a very important, comprehensive and comprehensive visit. On the other hand, the West is looking at it with envy. So says the Kremlin.

This is the Prime Minister's first visit to Moscow since the Ukraine war began. He is going to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian President.

The two leaders are going to discuss the multifaceted relations between the two countries. Saying this, Russia's state broadcasting agency TASS says that the agenda of this dialogue is going to be quite broad. It is possible that there will be informal talks between the two leaders as well.

TASS quoted Russian Minister Peskov as saying that they (the West) are jealous and that is why they are keeping an eye on this visit. There is no fault of theirs in this because this visit is going to be very important. Peskov said this in response to a question in the press conference.

After Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, Narendra Modi spoke to Putin and Zelensky several times over the phone.

India has consistently said that the dispute between the two can be resolved only through dialogue and diplomacy.

Despite the price ceiling set by the G-7 countries, India buys oil from Russia at a discounted rate. And its oil extraction has also increased so far. Therefore, despite the objections of the G-7 countries, India has continued this action.

Modi is visiting Russia after five years. This will be his first visit after being elected as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive time. Earlier, talks took place between the two leaders in Vladivostok.

Those talks in Vladivostok were primarily on economic matters. However, many other issues were also discussed between Narendra Modi and Putin at that time.

Observers believe that Modi will focus on the Ukraine war during this visit. He wants to see the war stop at any cost as there is a fear that this war may lead to a third world war.

A one-to-one meeting was also held between the two leaders on 6 December 2021. At that time, when Putin came to Delhi, the closeness between the two old friendly countries increased even more.

It is worth noting that during this 22nd summit between India and Russia, President Putin is going to host a private dinner for Modi. At the end of this two-day visit, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to interact with Indians living in Russia before returning to India.
