Got support from Nepali Congress
KP Sharma Oli has become the Prime Minister with the support of the Nepali Congress, the largest party in the Parliament of Nepal. Oli was sworn in by President Paudel at the main Shital Niwas of Rashtrapati Bhavan. According to the Constitution, Oli will have to get a vote of confidence in Parliament within 30 days of his appointment. Oli will need a minimum of 138 votes in the 275-seat House of Representatives.
KP Sharma Oli is considered pro-China
It is worth noting that KP Sharma Oli has been the Prime Minister of Nepal before this. During his first term, KP Sharma Ola's relations with India were quite tense. KP Sharma Oli is considered a supporter of China. Where Oli was the PM, the dispute over Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh became quite serious. Oli claimed Nepal's rights over these areas of India. It is believed that after Oli's return to power, this issue can again become a cause of tension between the two countries.
