Ahead of the third and final T20I match between India and Sri Lanka on Tuesday, senior captains Rohit Sukani and Virat Kohli have joined the squad for the ODI series.

Apart from this, Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana have also reached Sri Lanka. Rohit and Kohli last played for India in the T20 World Cup on 29 June, which was the final match. Both will now take the field again after a month. Middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer will also return to the ODI series. The players will practice in Colombo under the guidance of India's assistant coach Abhishek Nair. On the other hand, T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav will try his best to win the trophy 3-0 by winning the last T20 match against Sri Lanka. India won the second T20 match played on Sunday amid rain interruptions by seven wickets on the basis of Duckworth Lewis rule. Sri Lanka scored 161 runs for nine wickets. India was given a new target of 78 runs in eight overs but when the rain stopped, India could only score 81 runs for three wickets in 6.1 overs.
