Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirit Somaiya claimed the presence of a large number of Bangladeshi and Rohingya illegal immigrants in Malegaon on Tuesday. He said in a press conference that a campaign is being conducted across the country to find and deport Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, but Malegaon taluka of Maharashtra has become a major center of these illegal immigrants.
Somaiya’s allegation
Somaiya alleged that thousands of Bangladeshi citizens have entered India illegally through fake birth certificates. He appealed to the government to investigate as soon as possible and take strict action. According to him, after the change of power in Bangladesh, the interim government has bowed to the provocation of Pakistan and adopted policies against India, due to which the tension between India and Bangladesh has increased.

The BJP leader said that a special operation is being conducted across the country including Maharashtra to trace Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in this case. He assured that soon these infiltrators would be sent back to their countries.
Maharashtra ATS action
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Wednesday arrested nine Bangladeshi nationals for illegally entering India. According to an official, the ATS has arrested a total of 43 Bangladeshi nationals in 19 cases under a special operation since last month. In recent operations, these arrests have been made with the help of local police in Mumbai, Nashik, Nanded, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Police officials say that the accused had made Aadhaar cards using fake documents.
