Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya was on a visit to Lalitpur district today, where he participated as the chief guest in ‘Saras Mahotsav-2026’. On this occasion, he inaugurated and distributed schemes worth crores of rupees for rural development, women empowerment and agriculture sector of the district. On reaching the programme, the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister was given a grand welcome in an atmosphere of affection, enthusiasm and dignity by public representatives, respected party officials, godlike workers and local citizens at Police Lines, Lalitpur.
Women Empowerment (NRLM): Deputy Chief Minister allocated bank loan of Rs 33 crore 63 lakh to 2242 Self Help Groups (SHGs) under Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. He appreciated the financial self-reliance of the self-help groups by giving them symbolic checks. Agricultural Development (Tractor Distribution): Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’, the Deputy Chief Minister flagged off a rally of tractors to empower farmers and youth. He also handed over the keys of the tractor to the beneficiaries. Food Processing: Under Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Industry Policy 2023, he presented a grant check of Rs 89 lakh 05 thousand to M/S JK Foods & Beverages, which will create new employment opportunities at the local level.
