Kavita paid Rs. Gave 100 crores: Ed

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a statement said BRS leader K Kavita conspired with top AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia to take advantage of Delhi's excise policy. ED alleges that Rs 100 crore was paid to the ruling party of Delhi for this.

Kavitha, 46, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and MLC, was arrested by the federal agency from her home in Hyderabad last week. He will be kept in ED custody till March 23. However, Kavita has challenged the arrest made by ED in the Supreme Court.

The ED in a statement claimed that investigation has revealed that Kavita had conspired with top AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia to take advantage of the Delhi excise policy.

The agency has said that these leaders, including Kavita, gave Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders to make policies as per their wish.

The ED has further said that the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 was prepared with the help of corruption and conspiracy and subsequently implemented.

The ED had told the PMLA court last week that Kavita was the main conspirator and beneficiary of the Delhi Excise Policy scam.

The ED has said that since the case was registered in 2022, it has so far conducted raids at 245 locations across the country and arrested a total of 15 people, including former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia and another AAP leader Sanjay Singh . And some industrialists.
