Kane Williamson scored the fastest 32nd century, which is also his seventh century in the last seven Test matches

New Zealand's experienced batsman Kane Williamson scored the 32nd century of his career in the second Test against South Africa. With this, he left behind legends like Steve Smith, Sunil Gavaskar, Ricky Ponting and Ramnaresh Sarwan. The world number one Test batsman has scored seven centuries in his last seven Test matches and his highest score in these centuries was 215 runs against Sri Lanka. In the first Test of the series at Mount Maunganui, the 33-year-old Williamson scored 118 and 109 in both innings.

Williamson also became the fastest batsman to score 32 centuries. He achieved this feat in his 172nd innings, leaving behind Australia's Steve Smith (174). He has also left behind Sachin Tendulkar (179 innings).

Williams has overtaken Pakistan's Younis Khan (five) in terms of scoring most centuries in the fourth innings of a Test match. The Kiwi batsman scored his sixth century against South Africa and equaled Jacques Kallis for most centuries in the Test history of both the countries.
