Amethi, August 25 (HS). Under the Drug Free Amethi campaign, the team of Kamarouli police station in-charge Abhinesh Kumar of the district achieved great success on Sunday by arresting robber Abhishek Singh (23) son of Samar Bahadur Singh with smack worth lakhs.
It is noteworthy that the arrested youth is a resident of Biland Ka Purwa Majra Kodwa under Subeha police station area of neighboring Barabanki district. Apart from drug trade, he also used to carry out robbery. A total of five cases are registered against him in Amethi district under various sections including robbery. While in Barabanki district also, a total of 4 cases are registered under robbery, NDPS Act and other serious sections. Thus, a total of 9 cases are already registered against him.
Kamarouli SHO Abhinesh Kumar said that Amethi police was looking for this vicious criminal for a long time. Today, on the information of the informer, he has been arrested during the day near Banbharia Nala culvert. This robber was coming on a bike without number and he did not even have the papers of that bike. During the search, smack worth lakhs of rupees was recovered from the accused. Legal action is being implemented by Kamarouli police regarding his arrest and recovery.
