Jaipur, September 17 (HS). Even after a long time, JDA has not been able to remove the encroachment done in Hasanpura on the Dravyavati river. Due to this, the construction work going on on Dravyavati is getting hindered. A review meeting of the Dravyavati river project was held in Chintan Auditorium on Tuesday. In the meeting, the development work being done on the Dravyavati river by the Jaipur Development Authority was reviewed.

Till now JDA has made futile efforts to improve the nature of Dravyavati River Project, this is the reason that Dravyavati has become a drain instead of a river. In this sequence, a review meeting was held for the revival of Dravyavati River. In the meeting, Tata Consultancy asked to remove encroachment in about 350 meters in Hasnupura area in Dravyavati River Project. Out of this, encroachment has already been removed in 270 meters, JDA has not been able to remove the encroachers in the remaining 80 meters. In the meeting, it is proposed to construct a 30 MLD sewerage treatment plant in Sushilpura, Dravyavati River Project area, on which the work is stopped due to stay of JDA Tribunal Court. For this, instructions were given to get the stay dismissed by effective advocacy in the court. Also, instructions were given to implement the action of removing encroachment by super imposing Khasro as per the report of Map and Settlement Department of Survey of India.
