Palamu, 1 August (HS). The body of Jawan Pramod Singh (35), who died after being shot at Karamdih police picket in Chhipadohar police station area of Latehar district, was brought to his village Polpol Ghorahi in Sadar block on Thursday. Here, apart from policemen, other people paid tribute to the Jawan and the cremation ceremony was held.
On Wednesday morning, while cleaning the rifle at Karamdih police picket, the trigger was accidentally pressed and the bullet was fired, hitting the jawan, causing his death on the spot. Pramod has a full family including three children and a wife.
Palamau Police Men's Association President Upendra Singh reached the deceased's house with his team. He assured the jawan's family of all possible help. He assured them of all the facilities provided by the government after the funeral.
In the condolence meeting cum cremation, Mukhiya's husband Bhardul Singh Chero, district councilor's husband Arjun Singh Chero, Sarja Mukhiya's husband Anand Kumar, Police Men's Association's Vice President Santosh Manjhi, Anand Uraon, Secretary Jitendra Yadav, Treasurer Dilip Kumar, Joint Secretary Vakil Mahato, Central Secretary Sonu Kumar, Inspector Dhuchu Uraon met the wife and family members of the deceased soldier and expressed condolences and consoled them.
