Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said in a civic felicitation ceremony on Wednesday that the Jammu and Kashmir where people were scared to go has now become a true paradise. Today, Jammu and Kashmir is being recognized as the most popular tourist destination in the whole world.
Manoj Sinha was addressing a civil felicitation function organised at a plaza in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. The programme was organised by the Vaishno Devi Yatra Committee. The Jammu and Kashmir where people were scared to go, now you will feel that it has really become heaven. Sinha said that this change is not happening only in Jammu and Kashmir but in the entire country.
He said that he was given the responsibility of Jammu and Kashmir four years ago. At first, I found this work very challenging. I had never thought that I would have to go there but later when I came to know and understood about it, today I understand that working there is easier than working in Mau and Ghazipur. The Jammu and Kashmir which used to be in the news for some other things earlier, arson, firing, stone pelting on security forces, school market strike etc. used to happen at the behest of the neighboring country, today that Jammu and Kashmir is known as the most popular tourist destination in the whole world.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha, referring to India's glorious past, said that India used to be a golden bird. Golden bird does not mean that there were gold mines in India, but the high quality educational institutions, knowledge, culture, values and education here were our basic foundation. Our culture stood at the forefront in the world. We remained as leaders, due to which India was called the golden bird. In between, we lost our glory due to the fight of different ideologies and invaders. Today India seems to be moving towards its old position again.
Sinha said that today India is at the third place in the field of startups. In any region of the world, people look at us with hopeful eyes during war, they want solutions from us. When Indians were in trouble in Iraq or Sudan, both the countries used to cease fire as soon as Indian aircraft landed. Today, in any part of the world, in natural calamities, India is seen at the forefront to serve humanity. In the biggest crisis of the century, during the Corona period, India made a vaccine which saved the lives of not only 140 crore Indians but also many people of the world. He said that the history of Purvanchal has been very glorious. Many people have protected the identity of the country by sacrificing. Today, Purvanchal's contribution should be at the forefront for a re-developed India. The era has passed when we had to crave for even minimum civic amenities like house, toilet, electricity, water, health. Today we have reached a position where our respect has increased all over the world.
He called the National Education Policy a great gift for the youth. He said that education has the power to make India a golden bird again. Describing the development of the grand Shri Ram temple, Baba Vishwanath Corridor, Kedarnath Corridor and all the religious areas as cultural renaissance, he said that today a period of cultural renaissance has started in the country. History also teaches a lesson.
