Jerusalem: Israel has declared a 48-hour 'state of emergency' amid fears of a major attack by Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Israel this morning (Sunday) carried out massive airstrikes on Hezbollah's headquarters in southern Lebanon. In fact, the drone attacks began before Hezbollah launched drone attacks based on concrete intelligence that Hezbollah was about to attack Israel. Hezbollah is supported by Iran.
Since the top Hamas leader was killed in Iran itself, Iran is actually trusting Israel. Apart from this, Iran is also enraged by the killing of two top Iranian officials in a missile attack by Israel in Beirut. It wants to take revenge from Israel. Therefore, it has carried out massive rocket attacks on Israel's Haifa airport, inciting missile attacks on Israel by its pet Hezbollah. This attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of its top commander Fouad Shaker in a missile attack on South Beirut by an Israeli drone.
There are loud explosions in Haifa, sirens are blaring. The Israeli army has asked people to be cautious.
Israel calls its invasion a war of self-defense. Israel's defense minister has sent more troops north to Lebanon's southern border in anticipation of a possible land invasion by Hezbollah. Israeli Defense Minister Daniel Hagar told reporters in Tel Aviv that flights to and from Haifa have been canceled. Many flights have had to be diverted to other airports instead of their destination.
