There are also reports of rockslides and landslides from many places. Rescue workers are searching for people with the help of drones and helicopters. During this period, many people including two Indians are reported missing. However, both the Indians are completely safe. This information has been given by the Indian Foreign Ministry.

“After the earthquake, we could not establish contact with the two people, but now we have established contact, both are safe,” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in his weekly briefing. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed solidarity with the people affected by the earthquake in Taiwan. Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen also thanked PM Modi for his support during 'challenging times'.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are deeply grateful for your kind words and support during these challenging times,” President Tsai posted on social media platform ‘X’. “The solidarity you have shown means a lot to the people of Taiwan as we all work quickly to normalize the situation.”

In a post on 'X', PM Modi said, “Deeply saddened by the loss of lives and property due to earthquake in Taiwan. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and we pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” “We stand in solidarity with the people of Taiwan as they deal with and recover from the earthquake,” he said.
India Taipei Association also expressed condolences
India-Taipei Association has also expressed its condolences to the earthquake victims. India established the 'India Taipei Association' in Taipei in 1995 with the aim of promoting dialogue between the two sides and facilitating trade, tourism and cultural exchanges. The India-Taipei Association is authorized to provide all consular and passport services. In 1995 itself, Taiwan also established the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Delhi.
