Indian women's badminton team created history, won the Asia Team Championship title for the first time

Indian women's badminton team has created history. India has performed brilliantly and won the gold medal in the Badminton Asia Team Championship. India defeated Thailand 3-2 in the final match played in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

The Indian women's team has won this tournament for the first time. He had never won any medal before. PV Sindhu, Gayatri Gopichand-Trisa Jali and Anmol Kharab won their respective matches during the final. During the final match, the first match took place between PV Sindhu and Supanida Ketethong. PV Sindhu, playing her first tournament after recovering from injury, gave India a 1-0 lead by defeating Supanida Ketethong 21-12, 21-12. The match between Sindhu and Supanida lasted for 39 minutes. Then Gayatri Gopichand and Trisa Jali gave India a 2-0 lead by defeating Jongkolpham Kithitharakul and Ravvinda Prajongjal 21-16, 18-21, 21-16 in the doubles competition.

However, Asimta Chaliha suffered a 11-21, 14-21 defeat at the hands of Busanan Ongbamrungphan. Then in the second doubles match, Shruti-Priya pair had to face defeat due to which the score became 2-2. After this, in the decisive match, 16 year old Anmol Kharab made India the champion by winning against Poranpicha Choikiwong by 21-14, 21-9. Anmol's world ranking is 472 and Choi Keewong is at 45th position.
