Sensex opened with a huge fall of 285 points
In the morning, BSE Sensex opened with a huge fall of 285 points at 72462, while NSE Nifty started the day's trading with a fall of 109 points at 21946. Till the time of writing the news, Sensex is trading with a fall of 522 points at 72225 and Nifty is trading with a huge fall of 171 points at 21884. Out of 2357 stocks traded on NSE, only 919 are in the green. Whereas losses are being seen in 1342 shares. At present there is no change in the status of 98 shares.
Asian market declined
Asian markets fell today ahead of the Bank of Japan's monetary policy decision, which is expected to end its 17-year negative interest rate policy this year. It is noteworthy that a lot of ups and downs were seen in the Indian stock market on Monday. The Sensex closed 104.99 points or 0.14 per cent higher at 72,748.42, while the Nifty closed 5032.35 points or 0.15 per cent higher at 22,055.70.
