Papua New Guinea chased a target of 137 runs to win against hosts West Indies. Windies won the toss and invited Papua New Guinea to bat first and Papua New Guinea scored 136 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sase Bau scored the highest 50 runs for Papua New Guinea. Bau hit six fours and a six in his innings of 43 balls. Alzari Joseph and Andre Russell took two wickets each for Windies and broke the inexperienced batting order of Papua New Guinea.
