A case of cheating of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting jobs in the railways and getting contracts in the railways by posing as Railway ADRM has come to light in Araria. It is being told that a person named Abhimanyu Kumar Mandal comes to Jogbani posing as ADRM and lives in a rented house in Indiranagar Ward 04 of Jogbani. This person has absconded after cheating many young men and women of Jogbani and the district of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting them jobs in the railways. He also cheated people in the name of getting tenders in the railways.
It is being told that the extent of fraud was such that it even issued tender work permits to many people in the Railways. At the same time, letters were also issued for the appointment of young men and women as station managers, stenos and trackmen. In the name of getting a job, he also tried to molest a girl. Which the girl opposed and complained to her parents. When the girl's family members reached her rented accommodation to search for her, the young man had fled with a bag of bedding.
After this, the family members of the said girl lodged a written complaint of molestation and threatening on phone at Jogbani police station. It is being told that there are many youths from whom the swindler had collected Rs 2 lakh each in the name of providing them a job and has now absconded.
