Mumbai: Not Ranveer Singh but R. It has been learnt that it will be Madhavan.
The film was earlier believed to be based on Ajit Doval's early career covert work in Pakistan and will star Ranveer in a role.
However, it has now been revealed that Madhavan Doval will play a character with a spy background in the film. Ranveer's role is not yet clear.
Other actors including Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Khanna are also working in the film.
The shooting of the film has started last week. Earlier it was announced that the title of the film will be 'Dhurandhar' but as per the claims of the film's team, the title is still uncertain.
Paresh Rawal also played the role of Ajit Doval in Aditya Dhar's film 'Uri The Surgical Strike'. However, Paresh Rawal's character was named Govind Bhardwaj. Now it remains to be seen whether Madhavan will be given the name of Ajit Doval in the new film or not.
