ICC World Cup: These five players have scored the highest scores in the World Cup, two scored double centuries

Martin Guptill – New Zealand’s Martin Guptill is the batsman who has played the biggest innings in the history of ODI World Cup. He played an unbeaten inning of 237 runs against West Indies in 2015.

Chris Gayle – Former West Indies explosive batsman Chris Gayle is at second place in this list. Gayle played an inning of 215 runs against Zimbabwe in the World Cup 2015. Gayle and Guptill are the only players to score double centuries in this tournament.

Gerry Christen – At number three is the name of former South African legend Gary Christon. He played an unbeaten inning of 188 runs against UAE in the 1996 World Cup.

Sourav Ganguly – Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly’s name is at fourth place, and he is the only Indian in the top 5. He played a brilliant inning of 183 runs against Sri Lanka in the 1999 World Cup.

Sir Vivian Richards – At number five is the name of former West Indies legend and great Sir Vivian Richards. He played a brilliant inning of 181 runs against Sri Lanka in the 1987 World Cup.
