Prime Minister Modi took a dig at former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. He said, ‘I never built a house for myself. I too could have built a glass palace for myself, but Modi’s dream is that every poor person should get a house. It was a dream for me that my countrymen should get permanent houses. If not today then tomorrow they will get a permanent house. These houses have essential facilities for poor families. We are not going to stop here. The construction work of 3000 more such houses is to be completed in Delhi.
AAP targeted the government
Targeting the AAP government of Delhi, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘On one hand, there is an initiative of the Central Government regarding education, on the other hand, this is also a white lie of the State Government. The state government has caused a lot of damage to school education here. The situation is that despite the money given by the Government of India under the Sampoorna Shiksha Abhiyan, there is a government sitting in Delhi which does not care about the future of the children of Delhi. They are not able to spend even half of the money that the Government of India provides for education.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Delhi has been surrounded by a major disaster for the last ten years. Some blatantly dishonest people exposed Anna Hazare ji and plunged Delhi into trouble. Liquor scam, scam in children’s schools, scam in the treatment of the poor, scam in the name of fighting pollution, scam in recruitment… these people were talking about the development of Delhi. But these people became a problem.
‘You did not allow Ayushman scheme to be implemented’
Regarding the Ayushman scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I want to benefit the people of Delhi through the Ayushman Bharat scheme which provides free treatment facilities. AAP government has a lot of enmity with the people of Delhi. Ayushman scheme is implemented in the entire country, but your people are not allowing this scheme to be implemented here (Delhi).
