UK historic haunted house sold: A historic Tudor mansion in a Welsh valley in England has been put up for sale for £16 lakh (Rs 160 crore). It is said to be haunted by a ghost that can only be seen by single men. Stories of a woman named Gwen Vaughan seen in white have been passed down from generation to generation.
The first mention of ghosts in Bangalore was in 1785
In this regard, the former owner of the house told that when the head of the family died, the ghost of a woman dressed in white appeared from the window of Sir Rhys AP Thomas's room. The ghost was standing at the window and pointing to the other side. The first mention of this ghost is found in 1,485. Currently known as Pre-Tudor, this Darwid is counted among the historic houses of Britain. It was once owned by Tudor Knight Sir Rice AP Thomas, who sheltered Henry Tudor on his way to Bosworth.
The house was once owned by Sir Henry Vaughan
Henry Tudor is said to have invested in the place when he claimed the crown back from Richard III. He was lavishly entertained here before the Wars of the Roses ended. The house was once owned by Sir Henry Vaughan. He then gave it as a wedding gift to his granddaughter in 1603. Vaughan was Sheriff in 1620 and knighted in 1632. Vaughan was captured by the enemy at the Battle of Naseby. He was then sentenced to 15 years in prison. The house then passed back into the possession of another through marriage. In the 18th century it belonged to Sir Thomas Stanley. It then passed to Joseph Gulstone and then to Stephen Gulstone in the mid-18th century.
