Barabanki, 24 August (HS). Thousands of people from the angry Hindu community gathered to protest against the destruction of Hindu religious places and the massacre of Hindus in Bangladesh.
It was seen on the streets of the city on Saturday. Under the aegis of Hindu Raksha Samiti, a padyatra was taken out from Nagar Palika Parishad to Patel Tiraha via Police Line Square.
Thousands of Hindus including women reached Patel Tiraha in the padyatra, carrying placards in their hands and shouting loud slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram, Jai Shri Ram. Convenor of Hindu Raksha Samiti Dr. Sujit Chaturvedi and co-convenor Amit Kumar Gupta along with thousands of Hindus handed over a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister to Chief Development Officer Anna Sudan. The memorandum states that Hindus and other minorities and their holy places of worship are being constantly attacked in the neighboring country Bangladesh. All Bangladeshi Hindus and other minorities are distressed and suffering from oppression, exploitation and human atrocities. Due to anarchy and ineffective law and order in Bangladesh, Hindus are being exploited economically and physically on a large scale by extremist Jihadi elements. Hindus are being targeted and their religious and business places are being looted and vandalized. The entire Hindu society of India is enraged after seeing the pictures etc. of the acts being committed by radical Jihadis on sisters, daughters and even small children. Through the memorandum, Hindu Raksha Samiti and other Hindu organizations have strongly demanded the safety and protection of the families of Hindus and other minorities and their business and religious places suffering from the inhumane atrocities and mismanagement prevailing in Bangladesh.
On this occasion, district Sanghchalak Dr RS Gupta, district caretaker Sudhir, VHP department organization minister Indresh, district president Brijesh Vaishya, district working president Ramnath, district minister Rahul Kumar, legal cell co-coordinators Adarsh Shrivastava and Vivek Raghuvanshi, Bajrang Dal department coordinator Akhand Pratap, co-coordinator Brahma Prakash, district coordinator Rahul Vikram, Durgavahini department coordinator Neha, district coordinator Garima, Matrishakti district coordinator Suman, Arvind Maurya, Santosh Singh, Rajrani Rawat, Aman Akash and thousands of Hindu people participated in the protest.
