Kanpur, 02 August (HS). The winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal are coming directly to the Gangetic plains of Uttar Pradesh due to the north-western winds. Along with this, a cyclone has also formed and the monsoon trough line has also come and stopped in Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh for the next two days, but this rain will be in the form of patchy rain due to climate change.

Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University, said on Friday that heavy rains are expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh along with Lucknow, Unnao, Hardoi, Kannauj, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Orai and western Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours. On the other hand, only light rains are expected in Kanpur. These weather activities have become active due to the northwest winds blowing in Uttar Pradesh, because the winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal were till now going towards China and now due to the northwest winds, they are coming directly to the plains of the Ganges.

Apart from this, the monsoon trough line which was till now in Madhya Pradesh has also come to the plains of Ganga. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh in the next two days, but this rain will be in a segmented form due to climate change, that is, there will be more rain in some towns and moderate rain in some towns. The way the weather activities are going on, it is likely that there will be more rain than average this month. This rain will be very beneficial for the paddy crop. The western end of the monsoon axis is active and is north of its normal position and the eastern end is close to normal at sea level. The monsoon trough at average sea level is now moving east-southeastwards to the north-east Bay of Bengal through Ferozepur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Bhagalpur, Bankura.
