News India Live, Digital Desk: Has it ever happened to you that you had lunch or dinner with pleasure, but after half an hour your stomach became tight and the button of the jeans also started feeling tight? In common language we call it ‘Afra’ or bloating. If gas hits the head, there is neither peace nor interest in doing any work.

The good news is that you do not need to run to the doctor for this problem. There are some magical things present in our and your home which have a stronger effect than expensive powders. Let us know about them:

1. Ajwain and black salt (evergreen recipe)
This recipe is the identity of every Indian household. Celery contains ‘thymol’ which increases gastric juice.

  • How to take: Mix a pinch of black salt in half a teaspoon of celery and drink it with warm water (eat it). Believe me, within 5-10 minutes the tension in the stomach will start reducing.

2. Roasted cumin and buttermilk
If the food becomes heavy in the afternoon, then take a glass of buttermilk and add a little roasted cumin And peppermint Mix and drink. Cumin is very good for digestion and buttermilk gives coolness to the stomach. This combination prevents gas from forming.

3. Asafoetida tadka or paste
Asafoetida is a boon for small children, but it has the same effect on adults too. Asafoetida is a gas destroyer.

  • Remedy: Drink a pinch of asafoetida with warm water. If you don’t feel like drinking, then dissolve a little asafoetida in water and apply it around the navel. It helps a lot in passing gas.

4. Warm ginger water
Ginger not only enhances the taste of tea, it also reduces stomach bloating. Chew a small piece of ginger or boil it in water and drink it sip by sip. This is the easiest way to expel the air accumulated inside the stomach.

5. Sit in “Vajrasana”
This is not an edible thing, but it is the most effective habit. Instead of lying on the bed immediately after eating, sit in Vajrasana with knees bent for 5-10 minutes. This is the only asana which can be done after eating and it increases the speed of digestion.

A little advice:
Eating too quickly also fills our stomach with air. So next time, eat your food thoroughly and slowly.
