Gujarat Rain Update: Rain is wreaking havoc in Gujarat. The rains in many districts are becoming a problem for the people. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Gujarat for the next three days and has also issued an orange alert for heavy rains.

Let us tell you that due to continuous rains in Bharuch, Narmada river is in spate. Many people are stranded in the lower area of ​​Nikora village. An NDRF team conducted a rescue operation on the spot. Everyone was taken to the shore by boat.

Heavy rain expected in these areas- According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Junagadh, Porbandar and Gir Somnath of Gujarat during the next 24 hours. Light rain likely in Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamendra, Morbi, Surnagar. It is at Rajkot, Amreli, Botad, Bhavnagar, Kutch and Diu.

Red alert in three districts- Today, on September 18, red alert has been declared in three districts of Gujarat. It includes Banaskantha, Sambarkantha and Aravali districts. Apart from this, orange alert has been declared in Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar and Mahisagar. There is a possibility of heavy rain in these districts on September 19.

On September 19, orange alert has been issued in Kutch, Banaskantha and Patan, while yellow alert has been issued in Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Morbi and Surendranagar districts. Orange alert has been issued for September 20, so there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Kutch, while there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar.

Water released from Sardar Sarovar Dam – Apart from this, opening of 23 gates of Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada district following heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh has led to waterlogging in low-lying areas of Vadodara, Bharuch and Chhota Udepur. A total of 19 lakh cusecs of water has been released from the dam. The maximum level of Sardar Sarovar Dam is 138.68 meters. There is still a possibility of its level increasing.
