Gandhinagar: Amidst the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Meghraja batted strongly in many districts of the state since this morning. The Meteorological Department has once again expressed the possibility of rain. The weather department has predicted rain in the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, red alert has been given in Kheda, Aravali, Mahisagar, Panchmahal and Dahod with forecast of heavy to very heavy rain.
The weather department has issued an orange alert with forecast of heavy to very heavy rain in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Anand and Vadodara. Yellow alert has been given in Kutch, Patan, Surendranagar, Botad, Bhavnagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat and Tapi.
Heavy rain in Chhotaudepur
There has been heavy rain in Chhotaudepur. The electricity office is knee-deep in water. Due to heavy rains, drivers have faced problems due to waterlogging at many places. Due to the arrival of Meghraja, 18 roads in the district had to be closed.
Due to continuous rains, the rising water of Chhota Udepur has become stable. The low level road has been submerged. People are facing problems due to closure of the main road to enter the village. The road had to be closed due to heavy water flow. Drivers also face problems.
Due to heavy rains, rivers have flooded in Chhotaudepur. Flood of water has been seen in the Meriya river passing between Muldhar and Jabugam. Heran river passing through Bodeli taluk is in spate. The concrete road of Manka village has been flooded. More than four villages have become contactless.
Railway track under water at Godhra railway station
Amidst the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there has been heavy rain in Panchmahal district since late night. Due to heavy rains, the railway tracks at Godhra railway station are flooded. Due to continuous rain since late night, the railway track is flooded with water. The railway track is flooded with about one foot of water. The signal locking system has been affected due to water logging on the railway track. Train services between Mumbai-Delhi have been affected. Efforts are being made by the Railway Department to pass passenger trains.
