8th Pay Commission: After the formation of the new central government, now most of the government employees are expecting changes in the pay commission. It is likely that the Modi government can implement the 8th Pay Commission by releasing the budget in July. The new government has recently announced that under the PM Kisan Yojana, the 17th installment of Rs. 2000 has been transferred to the farmers' account. Now government employees can focus on fulfilling the demand soon. Government employees were expecting for a long time that the government would consider the 8th Pay Commission. However, the Modi government had made it clear in its first term that the central government is not considering bringing the 8th Pay Commission. In such a situation, when the Modi government has got a chance to form the government for the third time, the employees are once again demanding that the government should consider the demand to bring the 8th Pay Commission.
More than 54 lakh government employees are troubled
Last year, Modi government's Finance Secretary TV Somnath had said in a historic statement that the central government has no plans to form the Eighth Pay Commission for government employees before the Lok Sabha elections next year. However, the elections have been held. One of the reasons behind the Modi government not getting a full majority is the displeasure of more than 54 lakh government employees. However, now that the NDA has a chance to come to power for the third time, it can make these employees happy.
Salary of government employees will increase
Central employees are expecting an announcement regarding the 8th Pay Commission in the budget. If the government announces it, there will be a huge increase in the salary of government employees. There will be an increase in the salary of government officials from the lower level to the top level. The salary, pay scale and allowances of employees are decided on the basis of the Pay Commission.
At present 7th Pay Commission is applicable
At present, the 7th Pay Commission is in force in the country and salaries are being given on its basis. If the government brings the 8th Pay Commission, then the salary of government employees will increase significantly. A new pay commission is implemented for employees every ten years. So far, the same pattern has been implemented in the 5th, 6th and 7th Pay Commissions. In the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of government employees was increased by 14.29 percent, in which the minimum salary was made 18 thousand.
