According to the report, coach Gautam Gambhir and BCCI selectors want the current players of Team India to play in the Duleep Trophy for this tournament. The purpose of fielding these players in the Duleep Trophy is clear that these players are in their best form for the Test series with Bangladesh and Australia.

According to a report, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan are some of the stars who will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy 2024. Senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are unlikely to participate in the tournament, but the pair of Rohit and Virat have been given the option to decide whether they will participate or not.
On the other hand, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been given a long break. After the car accident, Rishabh Pant is going to play his first match in the Duleep Trophy. Apart from this, Mohammed Shami is keeping himself fit and can play one or two matches in the Duleep Trophy to pass his fitness test.
The first match of Duleep Trophy will be played here
The first match of Duleep Trophy will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While the remaining matches of the tournament will be played in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The tournament will be played between 5th and 22nd September. Meanwhile, a two-match Test series will also start between Team India and Bangladesh. The first match of this series will be played on 19th September.
