Rules changed from 1 May 2024: Many rules related to rupee have changed from May 1. This will change the charges related to credit and debit cards of most banks. There has also been a change in the price of LPG. This month, a new deadline has also arrived for linking PAN with Aadhaar.
LPG price change
LPG cylinder prices are also changed on the first of every month. This includes commercial and domestic cylinders. Along with LPG, the prices of CNG and PNG have also been revised. Now from May 1, commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 19.
HDFC Special FD
Apart from this, the time limit for investing in HDFC's special FD scheme has been given till May 10, 2024. This scheme was launched in 2020 for senior citizens of the country. Under this scheme, senior citizens are getting interest at the rate of 7.75 percent on special FD.
Aadhaar-PAN link
The new system is coming into effect from May 1. Meanwhile, those who have not yet linked PAN to Aadhaar. He will get another chance. Income Tax Department has given the deadline till 31st May, till then you can link Aadhaar PAN.
Change in savings account charges
ICICI Bank has changed the savings account charges. The bank will charge separately for transactions like demand draft, check book, debit card, leaves, IMPS from May 1. Banks will charge more from credit card holders for payment of bills like electricity bill, gas bill etc.
New rule of IDFC First Bank
IDFC First Bank has implemented a new rule, under which if the utility bill payment is more than Rs 20 thousand, then one percent additional along with GST will have to be paid. LIC Classic Credit Card, LIC Select Credit Card and First Private Credit Card are excluded from this charge.
