Gautam Buddha Nagar, July 31 (HS). A court here on Wednesday sent former UPFC assistant manager Anil Khanna to 14-day judicial custody in a case of embezzlement of short term loan of Rs 37.05 lakh.
Economic Offences Wing spokesperson said that Pankaj Khanna, director of Durga Wire and Filament, Greater Noida, in connivance with UPFC's then assistant manager Anil Khanna, embezzled a short term loan of Rs 37.05 lakh. In 1998, a report was lodged in this case at Surajpur police station. The investigation of the case was handed over to Economic Offences Wing, Meerut on 17 July 2000. In this case, a red corner notice was issued on 21 June 2017 against Anil Khanna, resident of Saket Mandir, Delhi. He was arrested at the International Airport while coming from Switzerland. After a long interrogation, he was produced in court. Where the court ordered him to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
