2025 has started with severe cold and dense fog. Many states of North India including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi are facing bone-chilling cold. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cold and dense fog conditions to persist in the next few days.

  • There may be light rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region between January 1 and 3.
  • There is a possibility of heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad during January 4 to 6.
  • There may be light rain in the plains of northwest India between January 4 and 6.
