Mahoba 4 August (H.S.). The district police has achieved great success in catching a gang of thieves who used to hunt fish secretly. The police caught five thieves on Sunday and recovered fishing equipment, nets and boats from their possession.
Under the guidance of the district's Superintendent of Police Aparna Gupta, the police has achieved a major success where on Sunday the police arrested Rahim Khan (48) son of late Chhuttan Khan, resident of Turkianapura, Rajendra Raikwar (23) son of Kallu resident of Tilwapura, Rameshwar (40) son of Harishchandra Tilwapura, Babli Raikwar (50) son of Nandkishore resident of Tilwapura and Muslim Khan resident of Turkianapura, who were wanted in the fish theft case, from near the Kothi pond located in Amarganj of the town. A boat, net and fishing equipment have been recovered from their possession. The team that arrested the thieves included SI Sanay Kumar, trainee SI Hardik Singh, constable Veereshwar Dutt and Anshul Kumar.
