Farmers blocked Ambala road in Pehowa, expressed anger over non-purchase of paddy | News India

Kaithal, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). Farmers, angry over non-purchase of paddy, blocked Ambala Road in Pehowa on Tuesday afternoon. During the jam, farmers also staged a protest on the road. Apart from the people going to Chandigarh, passengers going to Rohtak and Hisar also faced a lot of trouble due to the jam.

Protested by blocking the purchase of paddy. As soon as the information was received, the police also reached the spot. Pihowa city police station SHO Jeet Singh and Market Committee Board officials talked to the farmers but the farmers were not ready to open the jam. The police is trying to clear the jam. Farmers Surendra Singh, Vijaypal and Mahendra told that their paddy is not being purchased by the government.

He said that the administration had given 23rd date. After that he was given 28th. But till now their paddy has not been purchased. Due to which their paddy crop is lying in the markets. Farmers told that they are very upset for the last 15 days. He also went to the Market Committee, but he was not heard. The police administration is trying to clear the jam and talks are going on with the farmers. Police are diverting the vehicles and leaving through another route.
