Several rounds of talks were demanded between the Center and the farmers regarding various demands including guarantee on MSP and loan waiver. In this, the statement of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait came to light. He said that a solution should be found through talks.
Tikait said that people living in forests protect the environment. Tribal people worship the forest in the forest area from Bihar to Andhra Pradesh. No army and farmers are standing face to face. Our army is also made up of people coming from farmer background. Solution should be found through dialogue. Continuous talks are going on with the Centre.
Meanwhile, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday announced that the Center has set up a 3-member committee of ministers. This committee is talking to the farmers. On the farmers' protest, the Finance Minister said that the Center has formed a three-member committee of ministers and is discussing and talking to the farmers.
Sitharaman also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left no stone unturned to ensure the welfare of farmers. PM Modi has also worked for small and marginal farmers. The Finance Minister said that I can provide a list of all that PM Modi has done for the farmers. From increasing their income to helping them with small expenses, PM Modi has taken every step for the welfare of farmers, he also works for small farmers.
