Following suggestions that the Faceless Income Tax Assessment Scheme can be made more effective, the Central Government has reviewed the scheme.
So that it can be made more taxpayer friendly. As part of the review, a hybrid formula is being examined that will allow taxpayers to opt for a faceless scheme or individual settlement. That is, making the faceless scheme optional is currently under consideration. A decision will be taken soon and announced. What is faceless IT assessment?
Faceless assessment means assessing taxpayers in such a way that they do not have to go to the Income Tax Department and do not come in direct contact with any Income Tax officer.
