Life Certificate or Life Certificate is a digital service which is very useful for pensioners. It uses biometrics to help pensioners. This service allows pensioners to submit their life certificate online anytime and anywhere. You can submit your Digital Life Certificate through face authentication from November 2021. After this is done, you will not need to go to service center or bank.
To get your Digital Life Certificate you can visit its online portal and get it using the finger print reader.
Apart from this, it can also be downloaded from Jeevan Pramaan mobile. Through this you can avail the benefit of your pension by submitting life certificate.
This can be done from home/anywhere on laptop or mobile. To generate/obtain Digital Life Certificate you are required to have Aadhaar number or VID. Once the life certificate is submitted, it is automatically uploaded into the database and the pensioner's pension is credited without any delay.
The Government of India has strongly promoted this initiative and has launched two special campaigns in 2022 and 2023 to increase its use.
