Public relations webdesk.A political clash broke out on Saturday between Ediga community seer Pranavananda and community leader and Primary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa.
Swamiji, said to be from the camp of Congress MLC BK Hariprasad, had alleged that he was facing threat to his life from supporters of Madhu Bangarappa and would lodge a complaint with the Bengaluru Police Commissioner.
He was also angry with Madhu’s statement that he was a fake lord and his antecedents should be confirmed.
The seer said, “We have an Appa tradition of becoming a lord, where marriage is allowed.
Taking aim at Madhu, he said, “Apart from being the son of former chief minister late S Bangarappa, what is his contribution to the community? It is indecent for him to insult me as a minister. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take action against him. I will also write to Assembly Speaker and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Madhu said, “Whoever you want to complain to, do so.” He said that he was not against making Hariprasad a minister in the Siddaramaiah cabinet.
