Due to jealousy, a friend was poisoned and murdered brutally, because he is rich

Mumbai – A 19 -year -old man has been arrested for poisoning a cold drink due to jealousy about his friend’s property. Fearful of his friend’s condition deteriorating, the accused wrote a note and left the deceased’s father in the car, indicating that it is a case of kidnapping and forced recovery attempt. 18

Mitra Mithlesh alias Manthan Rajendra Chakol (age 19), a resident of the same area, was arrested on the charge of murder of Vedanta alias Vijay Kalidas K

The family of the deceased Vedanta is rich. Recently he has built a two -storey house with modern facilities. While the accused Mithlesh lived in a small house. He was jealous of Vedanta’s good financial situation.

On 8 April, Manthan invited his friend Vedanta at a nearby paan shop. Both drank soft drinks. The accused allegedly added some intoxicating substance to Vendaat’s cold drink.

After returning home, Vedanta started getting dizzy and his health deteriorated. He was taken to the hospital. Where the doctor suspected that Vedanta was poisoned. His treatment was started.

Vedanta fainted and died on 12 April.

The officer said that the police had initially registered a case of accidental death. But the medical report showed that there was poison in his body.

The police discovered Vedanta’s final activities and phone calls. It was eventually revealed that Vedanta had made the last call to Mithilesh. He admitted that he had met at a paan shop and there he drank soft drinks.

On the basis of suspicion, the accused was interrogated in custody. Meanwhile, he confessed that he did not intend to kill Vandat. He only wanted to teach Vedanta a lesson, wanted to make him sick.

The officer said that the accused also claimed during interrogation that when Vedanta’s condition became critical, he was scared. Therefore, he took a fake ransom note and placed it in Vandant’s father’s car to mislead the police and show the incident like kidnapping or forced recovery attempts.
