Meerut, July 12 (HS). A program was organized by 70 UP Battalion NCC on World Paper Bag Day at Shobhit University Meerut on Friday. Dr. Anita Rathore said that plastic bags cause serious damage to the environment, while paper and jute bags are environment friendly and can be reused.
World Paper Bag Day was celebrated by 70 UP Battalion NCC cadets at Shobhit University Meerut. In the seminar organized on this occasion, Dr. Anita Rathore highlighted the importance of reducing plastic use and using jute or paper bags. Dr. Seema Modi emphasized on the use of jute bags and other eco-friendly materials in daily life.
He said that jute and paper bags are not only strong and durable, but by using them we can also reduce plastic pollution. NCC cadets also shared their views in the seminar. They said that it is the responsibility of our generation to use paper and jute bags, so that we can give a clean and safe environment to the coming generations. Our small efforts can bring big changes, so we should always choose environment friendly options.
In the program, NCC in-charge Lieutenant Dr. Kuldeep Kumar expressed his gratitude to everyone and explained the importance of this activity in detail. Dr. Shubham Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Parnatap Das, Pankaj Kumar, Vipin Sharma etc. were present in this program.
