World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic of Serbia has continued his brilliant performance at the French Open. Djokovic had to struggle to win against Italy's Lorenzo Musetti. But 24-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic kept his hopes of defending the title alive by winning a tough five-set match. The third round match of men's singles between Djokovic and Musetti lasted for four hours and 30 minutes, in which Djokovic won in the end. Djokovic defeated Musetti 7-5, 6-796), 2-6, 6-3, 6-0. When Musetti won two consecutive sets, it seemed that Djokovic's comeback would not be easy, but the Serbian player played brilliantly and kept himself in the race for 25 career Grand Slam titles. After the match, Djokovic said, “I was really in trouble. Credit goes to Lorenzo for making me uncomfortable on the court.” He played really well.

India's N Sriram Balaji and his partner Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela Martinez of Mexico entered the pre-quarterfinals of the French Open men's doubles for the first time by defeating Dan Aded and Theo Arribez in three sets. Balaji and Martinez defeated the French pair 6-4, 3-6 and 6-2 in a match that lasted one hour and 42 minutes.
