District Magistrate honored elders and senior citizens on International Day of Older Persons | News India

Jalaun, 01 October (Hindustan Reporter). On International Old Age Day, District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey honored the elderly and senior citizens living in the old age home of the headquarters by distributing fruits and gifting them clothes.

He said that we should serve the elderly not only on this day but every day. He directed the concerned officers to take maximum benefit from the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Government. The elderly people expressed their desire to the District Magistrate to conduct a pilgrimage to Mathura, on which the District Magistrate directed the Social Welfare Officer to conduct all the elderly devotees on a pilgrimage to Mathura on 7th and 8th October. A large number of people, for some reason have not visited these religious places till now, they dream of visiting those religious places. The district administration is sending elderly devotees to Mathura Banke Bihari and other religious places.

While directing the Social Welfare Officer, he said that the old people living in old age homes should be given camps for their health to be checked regularly, spectacles, motorized tricycles, etc. equipment should be made available, along with prompt disposal of pending cases of old age pension, etc. public welfare should be done. Get benefited from the plans.

On this occasion, Joint Magistrate Neha Byadwal, Social Welfare Officer Praveen Singh, District School Inspector Rajkumar Pandit, District Basic Education Officer Chandra Prakash and Old Age Home Director etc. took the blessings of the elderly people.
