Bettiah, 22 May (HS). Paramilitary forces have been provided to West Champaran district by the Election Commission to conduct the Lok Sabha General Elections, 2024 in a peaceful, clean and fear-free environment. District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Dinesh Kumar Rai and Superintendent of Police Bettiah in the Collectorate Hall on Wednesday. The officers of paramilitary forces were jointly briefed by Amarkesh D.

District Election Officer Dinesh Kumar Rai introduced himself to all the paramilitary force officers. He was also given information about dispatch center, polling center, vehicle availability, polling party, zonal and super zonal magistrate etc.

The District Election Officer said that elections have to be conducted in a completely peaceful, fair and fear-free environment in the two Lok Sabha constituencies of West Champaran district. Work has to be done with alertness. He said that paramilitary forces should thoroughly inspect their allotted areas. Paramilitary forces will continuously do area domination in areas related to critical and Naxal-affected polling centers.

He said that paramilitary forces will not be allowed to face any inconvenience. Logbook of vehicles, driver's name, number etc. will be made available to you. He said that if any problem arises in the workplace, he will immediately inform the senior officers so that it can be resolved quickly.

Superintendent of Police Bettiah Amarkesh D said that from the dispatch center one has to go directly to the polling station with EVMs etc. Will not stop anywhere in between. If someone makes any kind of offer, do not accept it. Kitchens have been arranged at polling stations. Food will be prepared from the kitchen on payment basis.

He said that all the companies will visit their respective areas. Work has to be done in coordination with polling party officials and other police forces. It has to be ensured that voting takes place peacefully at polling stations. Special care should be taken that mobile phones should not be kept near polling agents. Also, we will ensure that the polling party does not have any party related publicity material.

Superintendent of Police Bettiah told the officers of paramilitary forces that they will organize a flag march after coordinating with the local police station chief. Everyone has to conduct the elections in a peaceful manner with full promptness.
