Varanasi, 30 August (HS). The dispute over property rights between the son and three daughters of former Kashi King of Kashi royal family, late Raja Vibhuti Narayan Singh, has now reached the High Court. The princesses, who have occupied different parts of the palace located in Ramnagar, have approached the court for rights over every property.
Princess Vishnupriya has accused Kunwar Anant Narayan Singh of selling and transferring properties arbitrarily. Her lawyer has told the court that Maharaj Anant Narayan Singh is in possession of all the properties without giving her a share. On the princess' petition, Judge Justice Vipin Chandra Dixit has directed Kunwar Anant Narayan and two other princesses to file a reply in the next 10 days. Along with this, Princess Vishnu Priya has been given time till September 10 to file a reminder. The date for hearing the case has been fixed for September 13.
It is worth mentioning that in the court of Civil Judge of Varanasi district, Princess Vishnupriya had demanded an interim stay on her brother Anant Narayan Singh from selling the family property. Which was rejected by the court. Against this order, Princess Vishnupriya filed a petition in the High Court through a lawyer. The plaintiff argues that all the four children have an equal share in the property of Maharaj Kashi Naresh. Son Maharaj Anant Narayan Singh is trying to sell the property alone. In such a situation, it is necessary to stop the sale of property till the pending case regarding division is resolved. Since the death of Maharaj Vibhuti Narayan Singh, there is a dispute over the property of the royal family between his son Anant Narayan Singh, daughters Vishnupriya, Krishnapriya and Haripriya. Maharaj's descendant Dr. Anant Narayan Singh says that after marriage, the father had given equal share to the three sisters and after the marriage of all three, the properties of the Kashiraj family of Bairath Farm, Katesar, Nadesar and Samastipur in Bihar were given to them in the division.
