Development works worth Rs 70.88 crore approved in GDA meeting

Ghaziabad, 15 February (HS). Development works worth Rs 70.88 crore were approved in the meeting of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) held on Thursday. In this meeting, it was also decided to build several big roads and do other development works in Raj Nagar Extension.

The project of developing a park on Ramayana Path theme was discussed in the meeting, in which information was also given about selecting a consultant agency for the theme park and preparing the project. It was told that this park will be developed in Koyal Enclave, the design of which has also been prepared by an agency. This will cost around Rs 25 crore. In this park, one can have a live glimpse of Tretayug, in which the entire scene of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram's 14 years of exile will be displayed. After this discussion, the GDA Vice President directed the agency to call the agency and give a presentation before taking the project forward so that if any changes need to be made in the project, they can be made.

In the meeting, about eight development works were approved in Rajnagar Extension, on which about Rs 35.11 crore will be spent. All the drains in this area will be cleaned. A 45 meter wide road, drain and sewerage system will be constructed in Sikord area. An 18 meter wide zonal road, drainage and sewerage system will be constructed on the main Bandha road leading to Noornagar. A 45 meter wide road, sewer, drain and divider will also be constructed in front of Shri Ram Heights.

Repair of boundary wall, office room, toilet etc. of Ram Manohar Lohia Park, Samarsiber pump of 15 HP capacity will be installed. Apart from this, saplings will also be planted and maintained. Plantation and maintenance work will be done in the rural stadium of Ataur village, repair of pitching of boating pond in City Forest Park, repair of huts, toilet pump, officer building and painting work. The proposal to maintain the pockets of the City Forest and make arrangements for the ration of the ducks living there for two years was also approved. Maintenance of Kavi Nagar Guest House and the green park in front of it for two years, plantation on the vacant land of the Authority in Bhowapur and maintenance for one year and plantation of trees on the central verge and road side of NPR, wire fencing with RCC poles and maintenance for two years. The work of plantation and maintenance of trees in Morti area in Rajnagar Extension has been approved.

GDA Secretary Rakesh Kumar Singh, Chief Engineer in Charge Manvendra Singh, Horticulture Officer Shashi Kumar Bharti, Municipal Corporation L, Jal Nigam officials etc. were also present in the meeting.
