Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya listened to people’s problems in ‘Janata Darshan’; Instructions given to officials for quick solution

Keshav Prasad Maurya today organized ‘Janta Darshan’ at his official residence, 7-Kalidas Marg in Lucknow. During this period, hundreds of complainants from different districts of the state presented their problems before the Deputy Chief Minister. Shri Maurya heard everyone’s complaints one by one and gave strict instructions to the concerned officials to resolve them.

Mainly poor, destitute and people suffering from serious diseases came to Janta Darshan with their requests. Hearing the plight of the victims, the Deputy Chief Minister appeared emotional and immediately called the District Magistrates (DM) and Superintendents of Police (SP) of the concerned districts. He said in a clear tone: “No laxity will be tolerated in solving the problems of the public. Especially in the matters of treatment of the sick and assistance to the poor, the officers should be sensitive and ensure immediate help.

Shri Maurya directed to speed up the process of financial assistance (discretionary fund) for the treatment of seriously ill persons on priority basis. Talked about transparent investigation and prompt action on land related disputes and police related complaints. Taking immediate action on the complaints of women, he instructed the police administration that no laxity will be tolerated in crimes and complaints related to women. The Deputy Chief Minister warned that if any complaint of negligence or corruption is found in providing benefits of government schemes to an eligible person, strict punitive action will be taken against the concerned officer.
